I have said this before, I have given many a complimentary night to tourists who come with a sob story about running out of money and not having a night to get home. I give them the benefit of the doubt and show kindness. Do you think being a local woman with a business that I'm not being scammed too by tourists- you bet! I've seen & heard all kinds stories & scams by tourists through my business - run meal credit at my friends restaurant while a phantom wire transfer is coming in a week later (which never arrives by the way) etc... Our kindess is not a weakness or stupidity its basically not judging all tourists as scammers because one of them have ripped us off. Give the same courtesy to Belizeans.

I agree that there are many perspectives to a situation. Perhaps people have received bad raps, maybe it is that they have reputations with good reason. The fact that this can be viewed in this forum allows us to form our own opinions. Simply deleting a statement only gives one cause to think that perhaps there was something to it. Perhaps the party in question does indeed not want the dirty laundry aired. In any event it is not a place to attack people personally but to give information, good or bad, about a given situation.

I don't think a personal attack is a good way to start. This generally is confrontational and elicits a confrontational response.

However, I do benefit from hearing about the whole story, another perspective, even if it is inflamatory.

The moderator should leave this alone. By removing it she gives the appearance of protecting her family. That is biased. She should be unbiased, albeit hard to do with loved ones under the gun.

The moderator who happens to be my sister does not need to delete this post. Everyone please speak your mind as I do mine.

I hardly read this chat site. This is about my third time and I have always had the balls to sign my name as opposed to the slanderous anonymous coward out there.
After this post, I happily unsubscribe. I have little time for this type of trifle drivel. Unlike some, I use my time wisely and prefer to be pro-active as do all my sisters. We are envied because we are ideas persons, successful, loved, verbose & feared. An original island family that is highly regarded in the community except for the few jealous newcomers who can't seem to fit into the society here.

For starters, this site wouldn't be here for you to moan on if it wasn't for our pro-activeness, our idea, & our execution to make it a reality. Get it?

Malicious rumors is the norm around this island especially when someone is jealous of your success and have the opportunity to post annonymously. I sign my name to whatever I write. Dare to do the same, all of you.

Unfortunately because I am a young beautiful single mother who unapologetically play as hard as I work, I am envied for my successful balance in life. Point blank.

The "Belizean Women in Politics" seminar I was invited to and attened last saturday in the city with doctors, attorneys, reporters & other successful women, thought me that women are most envied by OTHER women who would rather see them fail than rally behind them. This I found shocking at first, until I really reflected and thought about how truthful it really is.

In a world of politically correct hypocrisy, I am unforgiveably myself. Get it? I'm not changing to suit you.

I can almost guarantee that this vindictive posting was done by a jealous frustrated woman. Its par for the course. I'm used to it. Those who really know me, know what I'm really like and become lifelong friends. I have many. They see the kind, generous person behind the very visible, take no bullshit kind of persona. In fact, a frequent expat contributor to this site can tell you that I opened my home to her without knowing her, and just upon hearing that she was being physically abused by her then Fisheries boyfriend. That is how I am, I would do it over & over again.

Label me what you like if thats what makes you feel better about yourself. I know what I contribute to my society and I sleep well at night. Regretfully I have little patience for idiots and thats the one thing I would like to change most about myself. More tolerance.

My latest achievement among many in my young life: I have just been apointed to Belize's Advisory Council (Privvy council) as a Senior member for life. You only get this post from the Governor General if you are a person of integrity and high national standing. The proof is in the pudding for me and my activism is always rewarded. I wonder what kind of achievement the poster has done? Let those who are throwing stones, step from behind the glass case and reveal themselves.
FYI: the only property I own in the entire country of Belize is a small $20,000 house/lot in Cayo that I hold a 20yr mortgage on.
Not surprisingly, this is my absolute last post to this message board regardless of what follows.

Although I understand your wanting to hear both sides of the story, and I agree with your thought process that it is necessary in order to make fair judgements, please also understand our point.

How many times should we keep allowing slanderous and untrue messages after slanderous and untrue messages after slanderous and untrue messages to be posted on the board, not just about the Auxillou sisters, but about Jimmy who always seems to be a hot topic with the broken-hearted, or anybody else for that matter, without taking a stand against such a thing?

Why should we allow cowards with their own personal agenda (which I know not what they are, I will be truthful in saying), to take over the board simply because they can vent their venom and do their damage all the while remaining anonymous? Why should we allow anonymous inmates to take over the asylum?

This is a message board designed to pass information to those needing it.

I sign my name and the name of my business to my messages on this list. That is, because I am an ADULT, NOT A CHILD, and I stand behind what I say.

Let all the other posters behave the same way, especially when making accusations, and then we can get to the matter of who is accusing who of what if necessary and decide for ourselves where truth is, taking into account the credibility of the bearers of the information. That is where truth is derived from, using the souce of information and his/her reputation as a guide.

Other than that, I don't think I should remain passively by and allow some twisted mind to damage our reputations that we have strived life-long to build. Be a doormat? NEVER!

If you really want truth, then, maybe "delete again" can post his / her name publicly and state exactly whose house and land Tina took and exactly when Jimmy stole money and when he was incarcerated for it (since I assume this would be a criminal act and there would be reprisals, no?). That way we can best gauge the value of what he/she is posting.

Other than that, I will continue to recommend that the posts be deleted. Slander and lies is not the purpose of this board. So, sorry!

It is obvious who you are and you are indeed suffering from a broken heart but I am friends with some of the man's family and I don't think they want you using them to further your cause, so cool it ok e.... Move on with your life.

Tina, It is sisterly love and respect that I recieved from you and your whole family of sisters and Mother.

That kind of love is why I stayed on this island. As usual, this family is a mover and shaker and doer of ideas. Just come have a look at the many endeavours they have going.

Good to see another strong female in politics, congratualations Tina on your posting to the privy council, stay true.
