Did everyone hear that the guy who says Yahooo! for Yahoo is sueing for 5 million dollars claiming Yahoo only purchased the sound bite for a one time use?

Our trip is slowly approaching! Anyway, I wanted to ask you guys a few more questions as I value your feedback.

1. Our plane arrives in Belize City at 2:45. Any suggestions on how we should plan on getting to CC at that time of day. I know it will take a little while to clear customs but I'm not sure how long?

2. What does anyone think about TreeTops for lodging? Good, bad or indifferent?

3. Who do you recommend for snorkel trips?

Thanks So much!

Hi , You should still be able to make the 5pm water taxi from Belize City, if not come the next morning at 9 am.

Once here on CC, Tree Tops is fine, Toms Hotel, Costa Maya are all great.

There are many tours to choose from, most are around the same price ranges, best to chat to a few guides and go with the one that suits you most! Dive and Snorkelling tours, kayak and canoe rentals, Lay on the beach, explore the south end,eat drink and relax, so much to do here.

Make plans but don't plan the outcome,is my best advise.
Cya when you get here!

It dosen't take very long to clear customs at all. As for snorkeling try Carlos his trips are great. You can find him on main street next to Sand Box.

Hi Brian:

Allie (Ragga) is right, you can easily get the 5:00 p.m. water taxi or a 4:40 Tropic Air flight to CC the same day.

Once here, stop by any of the local snorkel shops to book a trip. They are all mostly the same price. The difference is in the guides.

Hi Brian,

Usually easiest to plan on taking the plane from International to Caye Caulker. After having traveled all the way from the states, with luggage in tow, hot and tired it is sure alot nicer to be delivered quickly to the island on a 10 minute plane ride. Simply walk back inside the airport terminal after clearing customs and go to your hopper airline (Tropic or Maya Island Air). This ease does have its cost. Plan on around $100 rt per person for the privilege. When you arrive on the island you can hop a golf cart taxi which will speed you and your luggage to your chosen lodgings.

The water taxi is also an option. You need to take a taxi from International to the water taxi terminal in Belize City. Then get a water taxi to the island. You will be delivered at the main pier. Then walk.

Whatever you choose take it slow and easy and don't sweat the small stuff.

I stayed at Treetops, before I became a resident of Caye Caulker. I found the Creasey's very hospitable. They only have 4 rooms and stay booked up, so if you want to stay there, book in advance. Their rooms are super clean, nicely decorated, cable TV, refridgerators in every room, very very secure and quiet, and reasonably priced. When I have family visiting me, if I dont have room in my apartment I book them into Treetops.
