Tikal Jets, a Guatemalan airline that for a while flew from Guatemala City and Flores to Belize City, and most recently had service between Guatemala City and Flores, ceased operations on August 31.

What a shame. We flew Tikal Jets when we went to Antiqua last summer. Was only about $100 per person on a 2fer1 deal and there was still only about 26 people on board. We were looking forward to a Cuba trip with them. c'est la vie.

It is to bad. But, $100 dollar tickets don't put gas in a DC9.

I've actually flown with them several times within Guatemala on $35 dollar tickets.
