Is it a busy time in September? We will be there forthe first time this September. Is there any festivals or holidays around the ninth of September?

September and October are usually the 2 slowest months on Caye Caulker

Sept/Oct are slow on Caye Caulker but you can spice things up by going for the day or overnight in Belize City for various festivals that will be going on at that time.
Starting from Sept 5th through the 21st there is a different festival in Belize City.
Sept 10th - Battle of St. Georges Caye Celebration
Sept 11th (I think) Is the Carnival Parade which is always colorful with fantastic costumes and a parade through the streets of Belize City. Lots of island folks participate in this parade.
They have Beauty Queen pageants; Battle of the Soca & Calypso bands; Carnival King & Queen etc.

I personally enjoy September for the Carnival athmosphere here in Belize.

Of course, I'm thinking a canoe race again for Sept 10th or 21st, any takers? Visitors welcome to participate!!!
