I'll be on CC for 3 weeks in December... My first visit, and needless to say, I'm very excited. I'm planning on staying in one of the apartments at Vega Inn, since they say I'll be able to get online there using my laptop.

Does anyone have any rave reviews, or horror stories about Vega that they'd like to share before I make my reservation?

The Vegas have some of the most beautiful gardens on Caye Caulker. They look out over the front beach with a view of the reef. I have never heard any complaints from visitors yet. I think you will love it!

Asher... it's an old post, Notice the date is 2002. I was confused about that for a second too!

We stayed in the lower apartment last year and thought it was great. The grounds are fenced in and have a lot of trees and vegetation, so it's like you have your own little paradise. The gate is lockable so your belongings are a little more secure. The housekeeper was very nice. It's also close to everything. The Vega's also allow you to use their beachfront property for hanging out if you like. We think they are wonderful people, very friendly. The only negative thing I can say about the apartments, is that when we were there, the pots, pans and dishes were on their last legs, but were still usable. We've already made our reservations for both upper and lower apartments for our next trip in January.
