I've been to the island before and stayed at I'm not sure of the name, but it was purple cabins on stilts. Well I'm coming to the island again and am looking for something a little nicer this time around. My travel companion prefers something with a private bath, poss. AC, and on the ocean. To me it doesn't really matter AC is not a requirement. We have been looking for places on the internet, but can't decide on a place. We were thinking about seaside cabanas, I'm wondering about homes for rent or places that are not listed on the net. Any help would be great.

Try Popeyes beach resort. They have nice rooms with a/c, private bath and hot water. They are right on the beach too, one block down from the main pier.

The Tropical Paradise is great. Fridge, A.C, Ceiling Fan, Beach Front and the best thing is that it is just steps away from the I & I Bar. Check it out! Even if you end up not staying at the Tropical Paradise Don't miss the I & I Bar! Have Fun and Go Slow.
