I'm coming to the Caye on Wednesday and have a couple of questions:

1) Should I exchange dollars here in DC or wait to get to the Caye to exchange?

2) I would like to take a tour of the Mayan ruins but am worried that none will be available due to the non-peak tour schedule; i.e. not enough tour customers to warrant a tour. Will I have a problem?

Everyone in Belize will accept US dollars.

Go to Anwar Tours as soon as you arrive. They try to schedule a Mayan TOur at least once a week by giving their clients a specific date. This works in getting people to go on one date. U.S. Dollars are widely accepted in Belize and C.C.

Hi there,
Lamanai Mayan Ruins, Xunantunich, Cave Tubing and Cahal Pech are three tours that can be arranged with only two people. These are day trips from Caye Caulker, departing on the 7:30am water taxi and returning on the last water taxi. Price is $115USD p.p. and includes return water taxi fare and lunch. Fully guided by local licensed guide.
Altun Ha is another Mayan Ruin Tour that can be arranged through Anwars.
Please feel free to email for more details.
