Hello--My family-2 adults, an 11 and a 13 year old have rented the little blue house on stilts next to the Sea View Inn. Any one have experience with this house--clean?
Also--swimming is really important to us--is the split the only place to be able to jump in the water without a bunch of sea grass?
Can we give our kids the run of the island and feel safe about it?
It sounds like there is inexpensive food all over theplace--but, should I do a little shopping in Belize City for staples for cooking?

You will probably find everything you need at Chan's Mini Mart, but a quick stop at Brodies couldnt hurt. It is about 3 blocks from the water taxi marine terminal. The Seaview has a wonderful pier, but its true, there is seagrass. Definitely the split has the best swimming. I believe you'll enjoy your stay.

Thanks for the info--as a person who sailed a 14' boat in the Caribbean in the 70's, it is a whole new world to be able to research a place before visiting--use to be we'd just have to sail away if the mosquitoes were bad...altho, I didn't have kids to please and a non-traveling husband to watch out for! We'll be bringing some stuff for the school and the clinic when we come and look forward to hanging out in the nieghborhood.
