soooooooo sucks, I have not been looking forward to this. Does anyone know if I can get more pages in my passport by going to the US Embassy in Belize or do I have to do it in the US? I have heard both and I am going to Belmopan Thur for something so wondering if I should wait that LONG wait there to do it.

and now those who want to apply for a US VISA have to spend that much more and more time going three times back and forth. I can't believe one would have to spend that much money and time to go to Belmopan and they aren't even sure they are going to get the VISA. What b.s.

You can get more pages added at the Embassy in Belize. It takes about 20 minutes, and is a rather painless process.

That certainly is better hours for US citizens. Before we could only go in during the afternoon hours of our own embassy.

I was informed that in order for Belizeans to obtain a visa the multiple visits are no longer necessary; rather, the application process is completed on line and then a single interview appointment is scheduled, requiring only one visit. I am trying to help a friend get a visa and would like to accompany that person to Belmopan for the final interview. Does anyone know for certain what the process is after the move, whether I can obtain information from the embassy via email or whether I will need to call them, and whether specific appointment dates can be requested?

The three visits is now down to two, this is a good point. You can fill out the application as of this past month online and a single interview is scheduled. The silly catch is they tell you if you are approved or not right then and to come back the next day to pick up the VISA. You are not allowed to attend the interview with your friend however interviews are typically 5-10 minutes. There is a lot of documentation which will better your friends chances of getting it and it shouldn't matter if you are there or not. In fact when I went they put me on the other side of the waiting area where I could only wave to the person I went with. They want to hear directly from the person to see what their intent is for going to the states without any help.

Here is a great way to contact them, they always reply within a day and are very informative.

the absolutely most important thing they asked for from the person I went with and a friend I have who just left yesterday was a bank account with plenty of funds and if the person owned a business or property. If they have no bank account, they should open one and if possible put money in it temp to show funds.
