Doesn't seem to get much traffic at this forum. Is that because everyone is keeping it a secret, for themselves to enjoy, or is it just a Dullsville kind of place.

I guess I am the type that likes lots of conversation in 'What is happening now on Caye Caulker'. No offence meant, just helps me understand the island mood.

I check here regularly and hope after my first visit to Caye Caulker in Jan(already booked) I can contribute information also.

I believe that the talented Auxillou sisters have done a splendid job in making this message board happening and my kudos to them!

All those people thinking otherwise, too bad, this message board is happening and am sure that lots of people are getting much needed info pertaining to our lovely Caye Caulkers. Haters, please back off!

I am sure the girls are doing a fine job, setting up and running a board is not always a easy task.Kudos to them and my apology if you thought I was being critical of your hard work.

I really wish the critics of my post would go back to the start and read what I said.
I was not slamming the board, I was asking the regular visitors for more input and I guess, less lurking.

you do not understand what this board is all about. character assasination, slander, neutralize the competition, schadenfreude...

this board is a disservice to the caye and to belize!

I'm not much of a socialite. As a matter of fact, sometimes I downright hate people. But, in the six months I lived on Caye Caulker, I have to say that I was happy. Sure, I was a bit upset at the lack of computers, but I was a spoiled kid. However, after getting used to the people, the places, the secret spots that nobody else knew about and most of all the freedom, it's all good.

So come on down, Doogan! You'll find yourself charmed by this little paradise island!

I am sure I will enjoy Caye Caulker as long as Yawn isn't there. LOL

We are spending 2 weeks in Isla Mujeres and 1 in Caye Caulker. It will be nice to get a comparison. Betting both are great but in different ways.

Well! I have just returned from CC! and you should change your holiday to 1 week in isle mujeres and 2 weeks in CC! It is truly an amazing place to be. No cars, just fantastic people, ocean, food, you name it. The split is a great place to hang out and meet people, along with the I&I. Just ask when you are there. someone will direct you. we hung out there for over 3 weeks!!! very laid back island.....
I can't wait to return!

Thanks Marz. We are crawling before we run, sort of speaking. The one week in CC is a dry run to see how we like it. We like Isla Mujeres very much but don't want to be blind to the fact that other vacation places can be equally as beautiful.

I have no dog in this fight, but I thought that is why you registered your info(Island Lady?) on this board, so everyone would know who are, as opposed to what a lot of people seem to like to do, which is start fights, insult others, and make unsupported allegations anonimously. Come on children. At least Doogan had the balls to register, although he did not provide us much, it was something. I am sure this will now cause ne to be the focus of someone's criticism, but I am a big boy. I can handle the slings and arrows of ridicule.

doogan heck yes the beer is cold enough even for a canadian-but drink it fast caause it won't stay cold long. I am particularly a big beer fan but it did the trick and it isn't bad.

I thank the Auxillou girls myself. they provide a great service hostessing this board. it ain't no easy job.

Don't get me wrong, they did a good job getting this board up and running but how tough must it be after that. I am sure they would love to see it a little more active also, a little more tourist driven and less in fighting.

People want to know and hear more information about this lovely island.A few pictures would be nice also.

Hey Marz...good for you!! I about fell off my chair when I saw a positive, happy response. I love that place too!!!!! Going back for 3rd time in 10 months next month. Maybe it's good too many people don't know about this board...I just discovered it and sadly I'll be looking sideways at a few people now. One rule ought to be for every crummy thing someone has to say, they should be required to say something nice!!

It is nice to see people opening up and voicing an opinion much better than when I use to come here and see no forward movement of messages.

We sometimes agree to disagree but that is not all bad. We get to see all prospectives.

Now if we could only get Yawn to stay awake.
