I'm visiting in mid july, and am planning on staying at romie and jims, has anyone stayed here before? and has anyone done the Goff's caye camping trip with tsunami tours? and are there snorkling tours through the mangroves that you would recommend?
Allie at EZ Boy tours does some great kayak tours through the mangrove, star gazing tours and other interesting, off-the-beaten track tours that are waaaay interesting.
Romies and Jim's is a great place to stay - nice location, great hosts and close to everything.
I stayed at Romi and Jim's for two nights last spring and did not like it at all. The acomidations are primative even by Caye Caulker standards. We planned on staying there for a week but left after two nights. Mara's place is great and the Rainbow is great as well. You can not make reservations at Mara's but you can at the Rainbow. The owners are great at both places.
