We are heading to Caye Caulker for the first time this March - and greatly looking forward to leaving the cold of Canada for the warmth of Belize. Do we need US travellers cheques or are Canadian travellers cheques OK to cash for Belize $$?

You need to bring American travellers checks or cash, no one will take Canadian on Caye Caulker.

If you bring travelers checks, please bring them in smaller denominations. It's usually difficult for a small business to find change for a big bill, and most of the businesses on Caye Caulker are small businesses.
