Does anyone have information on the names of the little children participating in the Miss Chiquitita 2006 pageant this coming weekend?

The central park / basketball court will be the venue this Saturday, May 20, 2006 for some hot competition when six Infant I & II students of the C. C. R. C. School vie for the title of "Miss Chiquitita." "Miss Chiquitita" is a Spanish phrase which means in English "Little Miss."


Every year the school holds this function as one of its primary fundraisers.


The contestants this year are Asheasia Ovado, Liccy Escobar, Meloney Arnold, Erica Cadle, Kaya Meighan and Sharla Coc.


Except for Sharla and Asheasia who are in Infant II (2nd Grade), all the other contestants are in Infant I (1st Grade). They range in age from five to seven years of age.


There will be rice and beans and chips and dip for. The teachers will also be having a fund raising barbeque in the afternoon with proceeds going to the teacher's fund. The pageant will be followed by a dance which is also a fundraiser for the teacher's fund.


A fundraising raffle will also be held during the night with tickets costing $1.00 BZ each. There are thirteen prizes for this raffle, with prizes being drawn throughout the night. Proceeds of the raffle will go towards purchase of new desks and chairs and for bathroom repairs.

Pageant starts at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Entrance fee is $5 BZ for adults and $2 BZ for children.
