Does anyone know if Ignacio's Cabanas has a cabana with two bedrooms and kitchen? Also, does anyone have any experience renting from Ocean Pearl or Vega apartments? We are coming in August and are looking for a very economical place with a kitchen (for one week)-- no A/C, TV, phone, etc. necessary. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

Ocean Pearl is being redecorated and has new managers that are very nice. Definately recommended.

Have you looked at www.cayecaulkercondos.com they have a kitchen and you could use the long stay discount rate not posted on the web site

We've stayed at Vega Apts twice now. Simple accomodations, but adequate, with a huge yard to relax in. No TV, A/C but it does have a kitchenette with limited cooking utensils. The upstairs apartment has a phone that you can use if you have a phone card. The apartments are also very centralized and close to everything. They also allow you to use their beachfront chaises and hammocks. The apartments are located on Front St across from the Sandbox. The yard is fenced in and you are given a key to the lock on the gate. The main Vega house is a few lots south of the apartments, on the beach.
