Mostly landscapes here on Caye Caulker, if you want to stay with portraits and glamour, Belize City is the only place where there MAY be a market...

I'm a Photographer already living in Belize. It is really hard to make a living. There are very few professional photographers earning enough to support themselves, and they have the market pretty sewn up already. Belize has a really small population, so there isn't much work. If you put your email, I can give you more information.

I think an underwater photographer/videographer would be a nice niche for tourists who dive without fancy cameras and lights!

I am an artist living here you can check out website www.debbiecooperart.com, it will download slow as we are still working on it. We make a decent enough living I used to be a photographer and still do a wedding now and then, but with the digital world selling photographs its REALLY HARD. You may do well at glamour shots girls here like that stuff. doubt if you could make a go on Caye Caulker your work looks flawless, very nice, Marketing advertising alot in San Pedro ,Belize City may help but youd better be legal with work permits etc if you do that and they are currently not giving work permits to photographers. I saw the Director of work permits and residency today as a matter of fact and although I have my residency I was informed that as of the first of the year no work permits are being given out for artist either.

I went to Coopers website and the artwork is fabulous. I think the website is slow to load because the original photos are too large. You need to take down all the photos, make them smaller (like 20% of their original size) and then put them up again. You don't need compacted jumbo sized photos on your site. Make them smaller first with less pixels that are faster to load and then put them back up.
