A poll on the Caye Caulker Chronicles website asks the question:

"Is Caye Caulker equipped to handle condominium complexes?"

with the choice of responses being:

1. No! It's a travesty to our way of life!
2. Yes! It is progress and the island is progressing!
3. Other (please e-mail to tell us what).

Of the number of people that have responded to the poll, 75% have responded that condominiums are a travesty to the way of life on Caye Caulker. Interesting indeed! What do YOU think, message boarders?

Wow!!! I completely agree. Please don't Americanize your sweet, gentle island. The greatest part of our visit there was the uniqueness of what you have. Your greatest asset is what you have - DON'T CHANGE A THING!!!

I agree with the results. We like Caye Caulker just like it is. If I wanted condos and the like, I'd go somewhere else. I must say, though, that this is my selfish perspective. I don't honestly know what is best for Caye Caulker and its residents.

we will enjoyed our first visit this last year. I, too, would hate to see cc change too much but also don't know what would be best for the people of cc. We loved our 8 day stay there. Hope to make it back soon.
