Sorry to hear about the death of Uncle Lou, I spoke to one of his grand-nieces and they are having funeral services in San Ignacio but he wanted his body to be cremated and his ashes scattered over the reef in Caye Caulker so they will be having a ceremony for him in CC also. It is uncertain when the second ceremony will take place but Noeli from Rainbow Hotel should be updating the community on this. Uncle Lou was definitely a very popular icon on the island and very well known for him singing “Day-O” and also one of my Dad’s dearest buddies

Our deepest condolences to the family, he will surely be missed!

all together now

i miss uncle lou already.
luckily got to see him in cayo on my visit in july, we had a wonderful afternoon together talking about all the good ole days on the caye.

he is just waiting for harry belafonte to get to heaven for a few singing lessons.
