I am planning a trip to Placencia. I have been to AC three times, but would like to explore a little more of Belize. Also, my husband and I want to fish for Permit and have read that the Placencia area is an excellent area to fish for Permit.

I am looking at staying at Sugar Reef and would like to hear from anyone who has stayed there.

Also, if you have a favorite place in Placencia, I would be open to hear about them as well.

Great place, great owners and lots of people to meet and hang out with at the bar. It's been a while since I've been down but I spent plenty of time there while working in Placencia for TMM. The place has been upgraded quite a bit since I was there.

Brandy and Randy are the owners and it is a very nice place. Horseshoes on Sunday and always some good drinks and food. My wife and I prefer the ocean side for the nice breezes but regardless of where you stay everything is in walking distance. When are you going?

Did Carole and Hannah sell? They did a great job rebuilding after the fire.

randy and brandy have left,, carol and hannah are back running it,, with changes. horseshoes are on saturday.

yep-saturday for shoes-i forgot!!! must need to get back for a fix!!! LHR wish you the best and always hoping that belize doesn't get the wrath of the storms but sure have seen the aftermath and it ain't pretty- travel well-eat lots-drink more!!!
