Need volunteers leaving from the states to AC in the next few weeks who may not be using their full checked bag allowance to pack Vet supplies for the SAGA Humane Society. Items we have are typically bandages, dressings, other non-pharmaceuticals. Can ship the items to you before you leave so that you can pack them in your checked luggage.

PM me if you are interested in helping out.

Thanks in advance,

DB

Simon, Does SAGA have a letter available to help get these items through customs w/o having to pay duty?

My understanding is that you can get a letter but it's on a case by case basis and I'm sure you can appreciate the bureaucracy here makes it a real pain in the butt to accomplish. You can contact [email protected] and ask them to send you a letter indicating that the items are donated and not for resale but it won't be anything official.

Simon, any kind of letter on letterhead w/ sig has generally helped me. Are you not w/ SAGA anymore? If not, who should I contact?

I'm only involved as a supporter and volunteer at this time. [email protected] is your best bet.
