Very many thanks to the posters on this list. We just returned from a great trip and we have many terrific memories. The information that we got from this list was very accurate and was a really great help.

We wanted to give a little something back, so we have created this blog of our itinerary and all the things we learned on the trip: Belize Itinerary

Very Best Regards,

Hey Kathy and Steve,
Do you have any info on good condos or villas for rent on A/C?
We're looking for a couple week stay approx middle of April start.
Thanks, for any info back.

Hi, Mel!!! You know, that is one of the things that we really meant to do: Look for places for short-term rentals for our next visit. Unfortunately, we just never got around to it. There were a couple of real estate agents on the island, and you might try Ambergris Caye Rentals.

Good Luck!

Mel,

You'll get more information than you can possibly use here: //ambergriscaye.com/pages/lodge/lodging.html

Once you've done some research you can post with questions about the properties that interest you.

Hi Kathy,
You were our neighbors when at Caribbean Villas. It was our first time at the Villas and what a delightful place to stay! A good walk to town but the peace and quiet were worth it.
Fortunately (for us), we didn't find the cost of food as high as you did. We did our grocery shopping at Marina's, which was a short walk, and bought from the street vendors for some of our meals. The most expensive meals were the lobster dinners but it all balanced out in the end. One day, we bought BBQ chicken dinners for $8 each(BZ)which included the chicken, coleslaw and the rice and beans. Delicious. This was from a street vender in the center of town.
We had such a good time, can't wait to go back again.
Maybe we'll run into your group!

Kathy/Steve,

I think we were on the same Tropic flight, on the 9th. I would have been the very loud talker towards the front. For some reason people are always asking about the best eateries on those 20-minute flights. :P

Great itinerary!
