I am heading to Amergris Caye next week and staying at Banana Beach. They have an in-house tour operator, Monkey Business Travel Shoppe. Does anyone know if their tours are good? I am considering booking them for a guided tour to Lamanai and want to make sure we are getting the best for the money!

They book tours through most of the tour operators on the island and do a good job of it. Ask for Tanisha Tours for the Lamanai trip.

however, i had minor probs with both monkey business and tanisha last week, tho all were quickly and easily resolved. just MAKE SURE everything is CONFIRMED, dont just trust that you sent authorizations.

actually, Suya does a fantastic lamanai trip as well.

If you are going to do any snorkeling make sure you ask for Alfonso. He is an incredible guide. Especially for the night snorkeling!! Monkey Business does an excellent job there at BB. Have a great trip.
