Hi everyone,

I wondered if anyone can tell me if Voip is working on the island? It seems that last March when we were there there had been trouble with using it. The only reason I ask is my dad has been ill (cancer) and I would like to check in with him while I am there. He is doing ok right now but things do change and I would feel better knowing I can stay in touch!

Skype, Vonage and most of the VoIP systems are still blocked by BTL. Check out www.bfic.org for suggestions on how to get around it.

I hear Skype is working lately.

Also phone at coconet in town is a cheap option you get 5 min free with purchase of a drink.

We've been here since February 21st and Skype has been working just fine the whole time.

Another option would be Google Talk. I don't think BTL is blocking it.

Has anyone been using Vonage this week? I had a good run of about a month with no issues, but lately, complete crap service. Any Skype useres out there with connection issues?
