We earlier experienced networking problems with three of our providers.
Sprint, UUNET, and Qwest were all experiencing problems with our Internet
connections. Nothing was wrong with the servers here at AmbergrisCaye.com, this was a networking issue that was out of our
control.

We were offline for about 5 hours, but its over now.

Just read your post. Since the site went down I am having problems posting messages. I have to post them several times. Is anyone else having problems?????? Debbie

i haven't had any problems, the site didn't go down, its was like one of the major 'pathways" out got broken. The site was fine, just some people couldn't get in depending on the path their signals were taking.

Each click has about 15-20 'waystations' along the way between your home and the website, if any of those statins along the way are out, your signals don't get thru. It looks like the site is down, but its not, one of the hops is out.

there is a program called traceroute that shows you where the signal stops....
