Looking for recommendations for affordable, clean hotel for 6 nights when in Ambergris. Would like 4 clean, safe, waterfront rooms with balconies and hotel safes...........any ideas???????? Thanks.

I second Banana Beach!!!

Mayan Princess, has room saves, very safe hotel with good security, fabulous beachfront patio/balconies, excellent management and staff, right in town.

It should be noted that as fine a property as Banana Beach is, not all of the units are beachfront.

Also, take a look at The Palms, Belizean Reef.

For a lovely setting, look at Xanadu.

Stayed at Mayan Princess many times, great location, center of town, just stay away from the room on the end next to Fidos.
only think I miss there is a pool.

just got back from Xanadu...beachfront, in-room safes, very clean, wonderful staff. Perfect and affordable.

Wife and I will be Back at Xanadu on May 5th. Great place.
Susan and Tracy rock!!! they make sure you have a great time. Alex and Ninja keep the gound spotless.

Between Xanadu and Banana Beach, which place would you stay at?
