I go to the states twice a year for supplies. and bring down about 600 to 700 lbs with me each time, as xtra luggage. it cost about 20% of what it would cost to mail items down and saves me hundreds in Duty. As I am travling with my inventory I can supervise its inspection and duties. This can be a pain in the ass. Lugging stuff around getting it to the water Taxi, I try to fly Tropic from International but only during slow season, not enough room otherwise. I once mailed some stationary down and had to pay duty on musical instruments???? Go figure. anyway I probably save about $1,500 U.S. by brining it with me.
