Hello. I'm coming to AC soon. Can anyone tell me about the Blue Tang Inn? Thanks!

My wife and I stayed there during the hurricane in October of 2005 for our wedding. We had a few rooms for friends and family.

Blue Tang service was first class and helped us through everything, which was especially troubling since a lot of the people we had intended to use for our wedding had left the island. They worked hand in hand with our planner to make sure our stay and wedding was amazing.

The location is great and is a short walk down the beach to all the action. Although there is no bar or food, there is plenty in walking distance and in fact there is a great place called Wet Willies just a short walk across the beach and out on the pier.

There are no TVs, but do you really need that in paradise anyway?

If you have specific questions, feel free to ask. We loved the Blue Tang and would recommend it to anyone.

Stayed at Blue Tang last 5 trips, great location, great staff, awesome view on the roof top deck. You can have a tv brought up to your room for $5 us per day if you really need a tv fix.

The Blue Tang Inn is great!!! and my favorite. I love the location. Close to everything I like to do. Like being close to town without being in town.
The staff is wonderful. Fanny and Alan can handle anything!!! Stayed there several times, last time in February 2007.
Nice pool, they provide pool towels, all in all, a great place to stay.
Nice continental style breakfast every morning.
If you have any specific questions, please feel free to email me.
cool cool cool

I like this place too, so I'll throw in my recommendation along with the others. However, I feel it should be noted that the "nice pool", is a dipping pool more than anything.

A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

Ditto to all of the above.
I like the looks of it, too....so Colonial. It was where we stayed our first trip down. Unit 15 was great...I didn't even mind the two flights of steps to get to it! I loved the location and I don't think anyone mentioned that there are 2 grocery stores very close by...probably less than 5 minutes for a slow walker. And even though the pool was small, there were several chair options (not just chaises) and tables with umbrellas.
