My friend and I just got back from AC last week, and we are planning our next trip back as soon as we can get there. The best time for now seems to be November around Thanksgiving. Is this a good time to visit AC? How is the weather that time of year? Any reason this isn't a good time to visit?

My wife and I have been down in November twice in the last two years and are going again this coming November (10th to 20th). with the exception of one or two rainy days (out of a total of 18), the weather has been great. We like to plan it so we get back home just before Thanksgiving, so that we have a long weekend to decompress before we have to go back to work.

Our first visit was over Thanksgiving Holidays. We stayed 10 days and only noticed a "rush" of visitors for 3 or 4 days(Fri, Sat and Sun of TG weekend) the rest of the time it seemed exceptionally "quiet" crowd-wise.
Weather was nicer also than in the Spring. "Nicer" meaning less humid and not so windy making water related activities easier. Of course all weather related stuff is subject to change without notice no matter where one goes, seems like the tropics are "mellower" just after hurricane season than in the windier months of Winter and Spring.
Our choice would be YES to November.

Thanks for the info guys!! We loved the weather in April, so if the fall weather is even nicer we'll be in heaven smile Now we just have to find a cheap-ish place to stay close to town and we're set.

We got a great rate at Exotic Caye, just south of town. they have an off-season special: Seven nights for $579 and they throw in a free days cart rental. Check out thier website under the Lodging section of the board. Nice people, nice place, pool and Crazy Canuck's!!
