I am flying out of SF on Taca. My tickets to Belize from CA are cheaper than the airfare to get my daughter back to CA from kentucky.

Also, is it against the law to just pay a boat driver to take you from the southern tip of Yucatan, Mexico to Northern Ambergris Caye if your destination is Northern A.C.?

If you don't go through customs/immigration upon entering Belize you are in the country illegally. This makes you a candidate for permanent deportation and/or a free stay at the Hattieville Hilton.

i would assume you would HAVE to clear bz immigration & customs to be legal. guys?

With a stretch, you could use $147, multiply it by 2 for round trip, add taxes, NOT fly on a weekend, and come up with $448.50 from either PIT or PHL...not including BZE Departure tax...

I just booked my airmiles from Roc.NY to Belize for Jan 15, 2008 and if I had bought the ticket it would have been $693 with taxes. But... it was during high season, so the dates you fly do make a difference. The airlines prices for flights fluctuate on a daily basis.

US Air includes departure fees also.
