The new Bell 206 Long Ranger L4 will have a corporate 6 passenger configuration, sliding door, cargo hook, litter kit (2 stretchers), emergency floats, latest avionics package, and many other options that will allow the helicopter to accommodate a variety of missions.

The new helicopter will also serve a critical role on specialized charted flights for Aerial Photography & Film, External Load, Aerial Survey, Search & Rescue, and Medivac & Evacuation Services.

Extremely expensive for transfers. Tours from SP, once the helicopter is already on the island, are more reasonable. 1/2 hr tour $250 pp minimum 3 people. Transfer from Turneffe Island to Chaa Creek was about $2500 US one way.
Sounds cool though!

Nuts, if it was not so expensive I would have suggested that maybe "they" can put a heliport up in Northern Ambergris Caye instead of the airport "they" have been talking about for over 15 years !!! But it looks to be too expensive for the passengers.
