I just finished reading Boomsday by Christopher Buckley. Funniest book since the Carl Hiaasen and Lawrence Shames ones! If anyone on the island has any of Buckley's books I would love to borrow one or more until my order from the states arrives.

Has anyone ever considered starting a book (or readers) group here? It would be fun to get together with people who do something besides sit in bars.

Ah good name!...sorta... (get rid of the l, add an r... hmmmmm).

Scuba, maybe you should make up a few fliers for that and try to arrange meetings at...uh... a BAR! You'd probably get a pretty good crowd! Some place that has tables in a somewhat secluded area?

There are quite a few groups on the island that do not include meeting in bars. There have been book groups on and off for years. Why don't you go to Barefoot Books and work on a club with Tazmara. She is going to start having book reading for the kids after school and I am sure she would be eager to get some clubs going.
