On a work permit? After obtaining residency sure but try walking in and getting a work permit for one of those jobs.

If you own the bar you can get a permit to work it, is why you see Gringos working. Although I know a few cases that folks bought bars/restaurants and then denied permits. Or they are illegal. Old timers were able to get residencies with a wider variety of job options. Now even your residency specifies the work you are limited to do.Not sure what happens with citizenship. The problem with a cute young blonde tending bar without permits is that she may be apt to pull in more tips cause shes unique, believe me the other gals
/guys wont stand for that and she will get turned in rather quickly. Alot of folks are working here illegally, it just is not right to those who paid for their residency/work permits/ taxes etc!!!
