Marrying a female Belizean does not give you automatic residency, citizenship or even right to work.
You still need to go through the standard application process/waiting period and of course duration in the country.
Although, if you are a female marrying a Belizean male, I believe that the process is different, as in easier.

Being the owner of a business very often does not automaticly give you a work permit, Many boat owners dont work their boats, hard to get a guide permit. Hotel owners cant work the desk. Boutique owners cant be salespersons and on and on and on.

Owning a business doesn't give you a work permit. You can supervise but not officialy work. Being said, a Self Employed work permit it a tad easier than a employer applying for you.
