Recently returned from 8 day family vacation to AC and it was GREAT! With 2 teenagers we needed some space and The Palms was the perfect choice. We had a beautiful 2bdrm/2bath, fully functional apartment, with a fabulous view, only a few feet from the beach. Artemio and Yadi (the Palms staff) helped make our trip special by advising us on the best trips to take. We highly recommend the Lamanai Maya ruins trip, a true cultural and eco tour that was a real joy. My son and I also wanted to fish and Artemio arranged great guides for us. But we were there to DIVE as well, and Amigos del Mar proved to be a fine choice for UW activities. The day trip to Turneffe South and the Elbow area is a wonderful day of diving and fun. The local dives were better than we expected and the snorkeling at Ho Chan is exceptional.

We took our two teen boys to AC the first week of June. Isn't it a fabulous place for teens??? So much for them to do independently. The snorkeling with the sharks and rays was a big hit, as well as the Catamaran day trip with Hustler tours. They loved the golf cart, and made many friends while there. We were pleased as many teens no longer think it "cool" to travel with parents in tow. We had trouble getting "rid" of ours for a private evening to ourselves!!!!! Know that won't last much longer, so I didn't complain. Glad you had as good a quality time with your teens as we did.

Hi Scott: so glad to hear you liked The Palms. Which unit did you stay in? We'll be there the day after Thanksgiving for 9 days, and can't wait!

We stayed in unit 33...top floor, front unit on the left (as you go up the stairs). Great for kids as they can have the upstairs to themselves (and we don't have to see the mess) and the downstairs stays clean... Also great view from the veranda!
