I understood the pros and cons of renting golfcarts as discussed by BT and others. I've never had any luck with them, though. They seem to run out of juice all the time, and force me to sit, in turn, in each pub going up the beach and back again down the beach. Miraculously they seem to work again after I've had a few Belikins at Coconuts and rum & pine at Woody's and then poof, they bust down again in front of BC's. A few more beers and they work just fine until I reach Estel's....go figure!

After reading this post I think I finally got my wife to agree to let me rent a golf cart ( she has NOT read this !). My only concern is making sure that I get the same cart that Mazzollo1 has so well trained!

any suggestions?

In the years I've been using them I find that they're all trainable with a little work, but you may have to coax them a bit. Try dangling a bottle of cold Belikin from the steering wheel; that's worked for me.

We arrive in AC 9/6 and Scott can't wait to rent a golf cart..he wants one that is a combination of both Mazzullo's and Debbie's husband ...plus he will probably add some additional quirks...will let you know! Mary
