Just checked the sat display from internet in Rio Dulce where we are riding out the storm and it looked like some of the most outer bands from the storm are getting really close. Someone on the island please post for us, is the weather changing, wind picking up. And if anyone sees Mark or Mary who are staying at our house, please ask them to email us as Rick doesn't have his addy on his yahoo mail. Thanks!

86 degrees, mostly sunny, winds out of the NNW at 7-10kts in South Ambergris. Water inside the reef is very calm.

Thunder in the distance, little breeze from the North still sunny but the horizon looks dark - still no wave action at the reef.

Still sunny and calm water here but I can see distinct bands out on the horizon. Will try and post some photos once I'm all barricaded inside the house with nothing else to do!

Portofino, hold on tight. My brother might be gone from there, but my heart is still in San Pedro and always will be. When Keith hit a few years ago, Jim was in caretaker's house and left in the middle of the storm to seek higher ground. He and Sophie went to Jim's BIG house to play it safe. Hang in there.
