Thanks for the pics. We are looking into retiring to Belize. We have our first trip scheduled in 2 weeks. We were wondering if the Corozal District received a lot of damage? Also, will we be able to freely travel? Thanks!!!
Thanks for all your effort to keep us informed. If you speak with Xavier about turning off the main breakers at Keenes, will you also ask him to have Lorenzo turn off the breakers in our house until power stabilizes, next door to Keenes. He probably already has but just in case.
Jan, Fantastic pics!!! We appreciate these so much. Tell Mo that Dr. Ted was happy to see his smiling face with a Belikin in hand. Just happy all is safe and sound. Carolyn El Castillo de Arena/Mata Grande
Marty posted this one for me from Wilma in 2005 @ Portofino- because it was pitch dark at night we were not able to take any pictures during Dean - but this is what it must have looked like, only the waves seemed more violent; the surge was about the same: http://ambergriscaye.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showgallery/Number/246997
added this else where...but I have a friend that owns Coco Loco...does anybody have pics of this bar? It's in the Ambergis Cay (spelling?) John can't get in touch with anybody there because of Dean and is worried about his people and property...
I will be adding some more today when I feel motivated. It's kinda hard looking at them knowing that the landscape that I love so dearly (the trees) has been altered. But hey, no complaints. I know how to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
You sound pretty plugged into the Corozol area. Do you know how Progresso Heights fared after Dean? Did you hear how much the Progresso Lagoon rose during and after the storm?
