Does anybody know of a boat service that will transport passengers from Xcalak to San Pedro and what the customs/immigration steps would be for arriving in San Pedro via boat? Thanks.

Thanks, Marty. Do you, or does anybody else, have a contact that would provide this type of service? Thanks, again.

This dive center in Xcalak offers trips to San Pedro, although I don't know why you would want to go to San Pedro if you were in Xcalak.

XTC can arange this for you as well at Tony 011-501-226-2884 on the San Pedro side. You will need a "Zarpa" from the Xcalak port master, which is the Immigration and Customs release form. You will need this if you want to legally enter Belize and receive an Immigration stamp. Although it is easy to circumvent the immigrataion process (just jump off the boat), it is highly illegal and you can face fines, jail time and deportation if in the unlikely event you are caught or get in an accident and need attention, etc...

We paid $300US on the last trip down from Xcalak (one way) at night!

LOL! Jumping from the boat is probably not the route I would want to take. I didn't know if there was a service available, although plans have since changed and we will be bypassing Xcalak on our way down to SP. Thanks for the info (and the laugh!).

LOL! I meant jump off the boat when reaching the dock! (ha ha ha) Not while travelling mid water. We usually go up for the day and have some beers and tacos without the red tape. But, if travelling to Belize from Xcalak, I suggest the legal route. Too funny.
