Chito Martinez was the first (and so far only) Belizean to play baseball in the major leagues. He played 3 seasons on the Baltimore Orioles in the early 1990s.

Seems he's dropped off the radar since then. Did he move back to Belize? What's he doing now?

Chito is now living in Memphis, Tennessee USA. His son recently announced that he will be playing baseball at the University of Memphis in the fall of 2008.

Since posting that question, I learned that Chito came to the US as a child and grew up in the New Orleans area. After the big leagues he worked as a coach/instructor at a baseball training facility near Memphis.
