A while back I found a site that had cave tubing on it but I can't find the right one for Ambergris Caye now. Can anyone help me? I Cave tubing as awesome as it looks? I'd love to hear any input.

Thanks,
Colomojo

The cave tubing is fun -- I'm a whitewater rafter, so it is very tame for me, but still fun. It's a very mild current and only really deep at one point. In fact I was stuck on rocks several times. At one point it gets super dark and that is really fun. I enjoyed the flora more than the trip -- it was a good combo to do in one day with the Xunantunich Mayan ruin if you don't plan on doing the all day Lamanai trip.

I will have a Belikin -- put it on klcman's tab.

Do you know of a contact on AC that does cave tubing or someplace to find more info?

lotsa folks can get you to the cave tours from San Pedro, check the guides page at //ambergriscaye.com/tours/

its lotsa fun.

go thru the next few pages, there is another sequence in there too

both those sets of pics have several pages of photos go hit the NEXT buttom on them several times...

i myself prefer to swim. most prefer the tubes. there is a great tour at caves branch where you go up the river sometimes swimming, sometimes walking. there are like 6 i think waterfalls of over 10-15 feet you climb up in the cave. you can dive off them to the pools below with helmet and light on it. lite still works when you bob up!!! i love swimming in big pools with everyones light off.

incredible down there. amazing formations, bats, lil crayfish and small fish in the water. some have crystalized skeletons that are very old.

Here's me at Actun Tunichil Muknal

We did the Zoo and cave tubing trip with Seaduced and it was great.

Really enjoyed the walk up to the cave on the jungle path.

PS, just so that you are looking in the right place.. The tours can start on Ambergris, but the caves are back on te mainland. I know of no caves on Ambergris.

That is great info to know, I was wondering about that. What might we expect to pay for one of these adventures?

Send Tom an email for specific prices. I have been cave tubing with him twice, with different groups of friends and family. My experience was as follows...

When we went last year, we booked online because he gave a discount that way. It was about $80 US dollars per person, including equipment, a delicious sit-down lunch, transportation on the mainland. You need to purchase your water taxi ticket from the Cayes (depending on where you're staying) seperately. Bring water shoes and your waterproof camera. You can add on an afternoon visit to the Belize Zoo also.

Just ask him- he's very accommodating and will give you a day to remember- that's why I'm writing all this out, and would go with him again when friends and family visit.

Enjoy your trip!
