I've been reading thru your posts for a couple of months, getting a feel for my upcoming trip to Ambergris Caye in November. We have booked lodging at the Miramar Villas, and I was wondering if anyone would be able to provide any insight regarding the location we selected.

South of town so you should arrange to have a golf cart while you're here. Very nice place, pool, nice long dock to swim off. You'll have a great time.

thank you sir...is it possible to take a stroll to town? or is golf cart definitely the way to go

I have stayed there, and its probably a 30+ minute walk to town... really loved it. incredible units. even had washer, dryer and iron in the one i was in!!!

Yes,you can walk,it would be around 20-30 minutes.Have SimonB set you up with groceries upon your arrival.Miramar is new and well built,you will like it.

It is possible to walk to town from there but it would be a long walk up the beach. I believe the 2 bedroom units include a free golf cart.
I stayed in a 3 bedroom and it was terrific. Huge, spacious rooms and all amenities (No washer dryer in the 3 br however)

Mr. Joe's Market is almost across the street for some essentisals. It is a 15min golf cart ride into town as of now with the construction of the road. In November the road should be near fininished and that will speed up the ride a few min.

We stayed there in March and it was a great place. Beautiful units and very friendly guard/grounds crew. I would recommend the golf cart, it will be well worth it for quick runs into town.
