I spoke to the folks running the Winnie Estelle a few weeks back and they were unsure if they would be running their day trips into Sept. Are they still operational or have they shut down for their yearly PM? I will be there 9/7 - 9/14 and if I am unable to go out with them, could you folks suggest another daytrip sailing outfit?

Hustler tours has a HUGE catamaran that we went sailing on. Soft drinks, beer and rum punch included. It sailed to Caye Caulker for lunch. We ate at the Sand Box. Best food we had on our trip. The boat stops at two different places to snorkel, one being with the nurse sharks and rays. We had a wonderful time. We liked it because they custom fit our snorkel masks at the dock to prevent leaking. Nothing worse than ruining your day snorkeling with a leaky mask. My husband is an avid fisherman, and they even let him hang a pole off the back while under sail. He caught a few smaller fish and it was fun too. If I remember correctly, it was $75US for the day. My younger son, (age 12) was only $35US.

Try to get ahold of Roberto of the Winnie at [email protected], maybe the Rum Punch also would be a good boat for this, try [email protected].

The Rum Punch II sail with George was nice. He makes a pretty potent punch! All day trip, snorkeling included with stop over at Caye Caulker also. [Linked Image]

I talked with Capt. Roberto Smith just yesterday, and he plans on heading for Rio Dulce, Guat. to store the boat soon. So Sept. may be out.

Thanks for the update.. Although I'm not surprised. I hope the Rum Punch II or Hustler's Catamaran is sailing.
