when I was on the island, I saw signs for a hospital, but I didnt see a hospital. are there jobs for nurses on this island?

do the doctors on the island do minor surgeries in their clinics? I am fully qualified to actually perform these type procedures.

Jobs for Belizean nurses yes, jobs for others, much more difficult. Pay is extremely low, and Belizeans get first preference at them.

dabunk is right, however, not all Belizean nurses are willing to live in the Cayes because of the low pay and high living expenses.

I am pretty sure that there is probably a market for private nurses.

But that still requires work permit or residency first.

If there's a need, you'll get a work permit.

a market for private nurses on the caye? thats interesting. I wouldnt know where to start that one. wouldnt that make me self employed? that would be a way around a permit. I think I will start looking into that.

You wouldn't get away with working without a work permit, however it is much easier to obtain a self-employed work permit than it is to get an employer to apply for you.

usually thats the way it is, at least then I would know when it was done and all that. for now I playing the lottery.
