I'm getting antsy about booking our February flights to BZE, but still want to get a better fare at a closer airport. Is Delta likely to resume daily flights as high season gets closer? Didn't they start daily flights in the middle of November or December last year?

Where in VA are you?

I am in Forest....right outside of Lynchburg in "Central Virginia"

Our local airport has gotten too pricey so last year we drove a couple of hours to Greensboro, NC, for a much, much better fare (on Delta)...even with paying for a motel room.
I emailed and called Delta asking if daily flights to BZE would soon be resumed (instead of just Saturday) and neither seemed to catch on to what I was asking.

I notice U.S.Airways dropped the price Today conecting in in Charlotte NC

I have been watching for the last four weeks for tickets for my daughter to come in November. They have been steadily rising unfortunately so I bought today. Newark NJ to Houston to Belize 616.00 total They were 450.00 a month ago, should have bought then!

Anytime you see a fare under $500 from EWR to BZE you should buy it!

1B - rather than await an email from DL, why not simplygo to any travel site and plug in your dates? Your answer may be there.

I also think that now is way too early to book a Feb flight, with respect to pricing. Historically, I've found the best 45-29 days out.

We booked a November trip EWR to BZE around the end of September $409.00 + taxes $222.50 (Who gets all this tax money anyway?) $631.50 total

I have plugged in my dates and pretty much get the same fares from the travel sites. klcman, I agree that it may still be a bit early. Last year it was right after Thanksgiving that we got a great Delta rate from GSO...$379 including taxes and fees. It was the best in four years! (And it was only available for a day or so. I just lucked into it, I think. I kept checking after that just to see and they were never that low again.) I am hoping to get lucky again.

Here's a pretty nifty site/tool I recently uncovered. Not only can you track multiple fares to snag those short term offers/errors that occur on occasion, it will even help you recoup refunds/credits if the fare on your previously purchased ticket goes down. Saved me $150 on 1 flight last week.
