Hi All

How far have the cobblestone crew reached south of San Pedro?

I remember when they were there in April they thought that they would be done to VH by the end of September.

In the beginning Medina said he'd finish by years end. They're working as fast as they can through all the rain and traffic problems. It's getting done.

It has reached the intersection of Seagrape/Coconut Drive (main road that runs parallel to the beach} and the intersection of the road that turns West into the Escalante Subdivision. Rumor has it, correct me if I am wrong, it might not make it to VC or the water plant because there is not a suitable detour for those needing to go south. Trouble is high season is upon us and the road is behind schedule.

I'm sure the cobblestones will make it to Victoria House. I believe VH made a large contribution to ensure it is run by them. The town will need to make some arrangements with landowners to allow traffic to cross their lots for awhile (If there isn't already an unused easement somewhere).

Thanks for the info. I kinda thought the end of September for completion was not right.

Let me put it to you this way. I live at Royal Palm and I am now very familiar with the pot holes of DFC. I don't even get lost anymore. The progress is now at a crawl. Very few workers who stand around hitting at pavers, like they are waiting for someone or something. 3 weeks ago they were going strong and thought they would be past us in a week. Makes it bad for the places blocked from Banyon Bay to just past Royal palm. I stopped at Israels teninda last night - he says no one comes since they can not drive by.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.
