i'm stunned the mom didn't blame ADHD. every kid who has a little energy is now classified as one. self-responsibility seems to be a thing of the past.

my kids look at me and say "i'm bored". love to have seen my mom's face if i had said that back when.

"i've wished many, many times that the students i work with could spend a week or so with my parents!"

LOL sometimes i think the same thing.

we frequently create our own diagnoses (everybody's got one!)for our more challenging students. my current favorite is OPD -
obnoxious personality disorder - and bobber - there is definitely a genetic connection!
