I just got notified that the Prime Minister will meet with the San Pedro Business Association , and all its members in San Pedro tomorrow, to address concerns of the San Pedro Businesses. Members will shortly be notified by email.

Only SPBA members are allowed, and when you would like to become a member, contact the San Pedro Business Association: phone: 226 2254 or email: info@sanpedrobusiness.com. In order to become a member, you must have a business in San Pedro that pays business tax.

This is the short version of the invitation for the members:

This meeting is for SPBA members only - please do not bring Non-Members.

For those of you that have not had a chance to join the SPBA, you may join prior to the meeting by paying the membership fee (please make cheques payable to San Pedro Business Association). Keep in mind that members of the SPBA must be business concerns operating on Ambergris Caye, that pay Business Taxes.

The following issues are on the agenda for this meeting:
1. The Roads
2. Crime
3. Garbage
4. San Pedro's status as a separate District.

If you have any questions, please contact us by phone at: 226-4474 or email: info@sanpedrobusiness.com

Said Musa graced Pedro's bar later in the evening. Several people found this to be quite an occasion.

Does Said Musa travel with bodyguards (a la the Secret Service) like Pres. Bush? Or can he just cruise around with no worries of bodily attack?

Sounds like a security breach question to me.

I've had some pleasant casual conversations with the man and I just walked up unannounced. He seemed very approachable and answered some pointed questions from me very pleasantly.
I did notice a couple of big dudes watching me close when I walked up, but who wouldn't have 24 hour security in this day and age , no matter how peaceful a country you may be in . There is always a crazy out there.
