Garifuna Settlement Day activities were great here in Dangriga.

There was the usual re-enactment followed by a Mass in Garifuna at the Sacred Heart Church.

Following this was the official ceremonies at the Alejo Beni Park.

Present for the occasion were Prime Minister of Belize Rt. Hon. Said Musa and Mrs Musa, USA Ambassador, British High Commissioner, Andy Palacio and many others.

There was a huge parade through the streets of Dangriga. There were marching band from Corozal, Orange Walk, Belize City, Benque Viejo, and ofcourse our very own from Stann Creek Ecumenical High School here in Dangriga.
