My family & I have been looking to buy a small hotel in Ambergris Caye.
Anyone knows the best approach.
Also heard that some parts of the island are better than others specially with the flooding season. Is this true? If so, which part is the most elevated and best sheltered?
Finally, can some one recommend a good & honest broker to deal with.

Jesse is one of the guides here, and a great real estate man. He can answer all your concerns. He will be on here any minute now.
I sure would use him for a purchase on Ambergris.

I am in the process of buying a lot in AC. I have been in touch with Jesse and he is terrific. He is representing me in my purchase and I could not be more satisfied. If I knew how to change my font to bright red and make it bigger I would have.LOL. Seriously he is the man to talk to about any AC investment.Check out his web site and send him an email, I promise it will be the smartest thing you can do. I just hope Jesse does not find out I'm a restarant owner because I am sure he would find me one to purchase and I just want to go there and relax not work!

I read the real estate sites for San Pedro all the time. I noted that "Cannibals" was listed for sale, how about it Bigzeke! You need to continue your good work, email Jesse.
Just kidding, you need to rest & relax.

See Jesse or the folks at Southwind, you can't go wrong in either case, and there are a few others. Be very careful. But first, in all seriousness, read "Don"t Stop the Carnival". It was written 30+ years ago, but everything in it happened, one way or another, on AC in the last thirty days.

(Had to edit those last ones out.)

OK...here's my two-cents worth!
I'm 3/4 of the way thru "Don't Stop The Carnival" Someone loaned it to me abiut a week ago. Great Book!....and I swear Herman Wouk must of had advance knowledge of Ambergris Caye!.....LOL I'm getting the biggest kick out of this book.
I think it takes 4 things to be happy here:
1. The "True Grit" of John Wayne (love that man)
2. A great sense of humour.
3. The adventuring spirit of Indiana Jones.
4. Last...but not least....the leather hide of a buffalo!

If you possess these qualities....you got it licked....LOL

I am learning to find it quite amusing!

Do talk to Jesse though....he can find you a good deal!
