Does anyone know where I could buy a movie projector for home cinema in Belize? I know it's a long shot, but I figure nothing ventured...

I saw one at Caye Supplies on saturday. It was at the back of the store, on the top shelf above some kids toys.

is this a digital projector or one you'd find in an actual cinema, do you know? i probably should've mentioned that I want to hook it up to a laptop...

Why don't you toodle on down to the store and check it out. I am stuck at work for the rest of the week.

I'd be very interesterd in knowing how one hooks up a 35mm film (cinema) projector to a laptop.

I doubt it very much if you'll find a cinema projector on AC.

Yup! That's the whole idea!
I used to manage multiplex cinemas for Metro Goldwyn Mayer in the UK, so I was planning to open my own mini-cinema here in Belize.

I didn't bring my tuxedo over though, so I'll have to stand at 'front of house' in shirt, shorts and barefoot instead...

I'm bumping back up the list again, and asking if there are any Brits coming over to Belize who would be willing to bring over a digital projector if I buy it and get it delivered to their UK address.

Otherwise if said willing person is able and willing to buy it themselves and bring it with them I will, of course, pay them back in full immediately.

The reason I say Brits is that I can make a bank transfer from my UK bank but I'm unsure if it's possible to transfer to US banks, and I don't have a Belize bank account yet.
