The large abandoned Yucuna Bay resort has been bought by a major Canadian
player and huge investments will be ongoing shortly to make it into a
special high class resort for Belize.

But of real interest, apparently the sums require to pave
the Consejo road from Corozal to Yucuna Bay cut-off are in process of being
delivered - -and that work starts shortly.

Also -- an new major Resort hotel of the best quality is supposed to get
started real soon over by Cerros ruins.

Phil -- back of Bill's place -- to the Cerros ruins.

Both of these mega projects expected to give many high paying jobs to
locals in this area.

Yes, I have heard about these projects. I am not holding my breath on
their progress, but the road improvement would be very welcome. During
the peak of the tourist season there are so few visitors to Cerros, I
wonder how the hotel will be able to keep reasonably full. This would
take a lot of promotion to work.

The rumor I heard is that the Yucuna project hinges on a road
improvement with the developers paying 1/2 and the GOB paying 1/2.
